case study

Historic 6th Street Mural

Project Background
I had just 14 days to design and install a mural in one of Austin’s most visible and visited areas, with the added challenge of never having painted a mural before. Failing to deliver would mean losing the space altogether.

Objective
Designing a mural that was both vibrant and type-driven, I sought to capture the spirit of Austin and engage visitors with photo opportunities from every angle.

Execution
With limited time, I leaned on meticulous planning and adaptability to bring the concept to life. The process became a test of my ability to merge design and execution under intense constraints.

Impact
The mural has since become a lasting contribution to Austin’s visual landscape, offering locals and tourists a unique, interactive experience. Beyond the public impact, this project served as a deeply rewarding personal and professional design challenge.
