Hammond

Project Background
Hammond is a self-hosted, open-source web application designed to make logging detailed information about your vehicle seamless and intuitive. While the app’s functionality was robust, its visuals were due for an upgrade. Recognizing this, I took the initiative to lead a complete design refresh.

Objective
The overhaul focused on modernizing Hammond’s visual identity while preserving its technical integrity and usability. My approach revolved around a central concept: sleek but efficient.

Logo Refresh
I updated the Hammond logo to emphasize boldness and purpose. The “H” was designed to mimic the curves of a road, a subtle nod to the automotive theme while maintaining a clean appearance.

Dashboard Redesign
The dashboard now captures the essence of an automotive UI—packed with information yet optimized for quick comprehension. The new design balances clarity and depth, ensuring users can digest granular vehicle data at a glance without feeling overwhelmed.

Impact
The visual overhaul gave Hammond a refreshed identity and elevated its usability, creating a harmonious blend of form and function.
